Getting started
- Install Boardit from the Chrome Web Store when the beta becomes available.
- Open the extension and create your first folder and board.
- Use the popup while browsing to capture material into that board.

Capturing research
Open the Boardit toolbar popup on a webpage. Review the extracted title, URL, selected passage, and note. Choose a board, column, and available row, then save.
Context-menu actions can quick-save a page, selected text, or an image to your most recent valid destination.

Organizing boards
Use folders for projects and boards for individual questions or workstreams. Cards occupy explicit row-and-column cells. Dragging to an occupied cell swaps the two cards safely.
Graph view shows the same cards as a spatial network. It does not create a second copy of your research.

Search and filters
Navigation search finds matching folders, boards, and card content throughout the project. Board search and filters narrow the visible cards by text, tag, website, or saved date.
Inspection sorts are temporary. They never overwrite your manual placement.

Cloud backup and sync
Cloud sync is optional and paid. Sign in from Settings, choose a monthly or annual plan, and Boardit will synchronize incremental changes across supported Chrome browsers.
Each account and the free local workspace remain separate on the browser. Signing out returns to the free local workspace; signing back in reopens that account's local replica and resumes synchronization. Boardit never silently moves research between accounts.

Recycle bin
Deleted cards, boards, and folder trees enter the local recycle bin for seven days. Restoring a card returns it to its former cell if available; otherwise Boardit places it safely at the bottom of its original column.

Import and export
Export remains free. Use Settings to create a validated Boardit archive or Markdown export. Import previews and validates untrusted data before changing the workspace.
